LEMME KNO "UNTHANK009" MAX D MORGAN BUCKLEY AMBIENT TECHNO HOUSE 10"
Lemme Kno = Max D + DJ Isle O' Man (aka MB / Morgan Buckley). Here on the cultishly adored Unthank imprint (branch of Firecracker) they experiment with breakbeats, jeep beats and psychological sound manipulation. "The Tie With The Most Strips" bounces and sways like it should indeed be pouring outta the back of some highly souped-up Jeep and cruising around the 'ends. Heavy, low-slung breaks with nice conga inflections and hands-in-the-air riffs. "1234567" picks up the tempo to a classic hardcore breaks vibe, complete with bleep melodies and rumbling sub. Meanwhile, "Way (188 Krew Mix)" slows it back down to a crunchy, lo-fi hip-hop type groove, sub 100bpm but losing none of that attitude or power as we gyrate our way around the block party. Highly recommended stuff from this deservedly hyped label.
