EBONY DIAMONDS "I'm So Lucky" RICHMOND VA MODERN SOUL DISCO FUNK REISSUE 7"
COLISEUM RECORDS (RICHMOND VA)
The Ebony Diamonds consist of Rodney Dorsey, Carroll Ellis Jr., and Ray Crawley who met while at Virginia State University over their love of music. In the early day’s, they began as as “Essence,” and did talent shows and small club performances. Shortly after, as “Ebony Diamond,” they recorded “I’m So Lucky” with producer Bernard Smith in 1975 which brings us to a timeless gem. What makes this edition of the 45 even more special is not only getting the vocal version but also the much appreciated b-side instrumental.
Essential in every way, so we’re highly recommending you grab a copy and immediately work it into your set!
