DUMINIE & THEO PARRISH "Dark Matters" SOUND SIGNATURE DETROIT DEEP HOUSE 12"
''Dark Matters'' features a great spoken vocal from Umar Bin Hussein while Duminie lays down a bed of downtempo funk, combing great guitar, lazy bass, and super laidback beats. ''Subterranean'' is a gritty rock guitar lick basically left to it's own devices, resulting in a cut that's more of a mixing tool than anything. On the flip, ''No Demons, No Majik'' sees Duminie team up with label boss Theo for some sparse, piano drenched late night gear, with more great guitar riffs joined by marching beats, minimal bass, and wandering keys on a tracky late night affair.
